Top of the Island
Head north over the Jensen Beach Causeway for a scenic ride. Hug the Indian River Lagoon and experience the incredible charm of Old Florida seen in the gorgeous homes and docks stretching into the water all along the way.
Historic downtown is your next stop where you can park your scooters at the Farmers Green Market featuring live music, produce, crafts and more! (on Wednesdays and Saturdays)
After enjoying the Market, head over the Causeway to the Inlet for photo opportunities and explore pristine Jetty Park. Have lunch at your choice of beautiful waterfront spots, before you head over to the Museum Point Park for a tour of the Smithsonian Aquarium.There you will view a large living reef exhibit and interactive touch tanks to add to your adventure.
Next stop we'll "dive" into the history of our legendary maritime special operations warriors at the Navy Seal Museum, formerly the training site of UDT "underwater demolition teams" during WWII.
After our tour we head north to the Queens Island Preserve for an opportunity to stretch our legs and enjoy the scenic boardwalk fishing pier.
The Historic House of Seven Gables and Manatee Center is a must see and then
saddle up and head south, stopping at any one of the beautiful beach parks on the way back to Ironhorse Scooters.
Head south on Ocean Drive to the popular Elliot Museum for an Oceanographic experience. Then onto the House Of Refuge Museum at Gilbert's Bar for a short tour where you will learn all about this historic oceanfront haven for shipwrecked sailors and travelers. The jettys on the beach are are incredible. Next up is sparkiling Bathtub Beach for sun, swimming and gorgeous photo opps.
After some beach fun,
you will head over the causeway and ride through and around Indian River Park, sightseeing at these wonderful historic spots on the Florida Heritage Trail: Tuckahoe Mansion, Captain Henry Sewall's House, Maritime and Classic Boat Museum.
Now onto Downtown Stuart for lunch, sightseeing and shopping in this historic Old Florida seaside village, where you will see the historic Lyric Theatre, the famous Confusion Corner, Inner Harbor Parks and the Stuart Heritage Museum. Head back to Jensen Beach for a snack at one of the wonderful restaurants that line the streets in this lovely beach town once known as the "Pineapple capital of the World"!
